Freelance Remote Part-Time

Role: Write comprehensive, SEO-optimized blog posts about international calling solutions, eSIM technology, VPN services, and related topics for Indian expats.

What You'll Do:

  • Research and write 3,000-4,500 word blog posts comparing calling solutions
  • Create step-by-step setup guides for eSIM providers and VPN services
  • Write country-specific guides (e.g., "How to Call India from UAE")
  • Follow our editorial guidelines and brand voice
  • Incorporate affiliate links naturally and strategically

What We're Looking For:

For most roles, we'll offer a paid trial project. Writers might create a sample article, SEO specialists might conduct a keyword analysis, etc. This helps us both assess the fit.

If the trial goes well, we'll extend an offer and get you onboarded. For ongoing roles, we'll discuss rates, expectations, and logistics.

Do I need to be an Indian expat to work with Dial91?

Not necessarily! While firsthand expat experience is definitely a plus (it helps you understand our audience deeply), it's not required. What matters most is your ability to empathize with our audience, research thoroughly, and write/create compelling content. We've had successful team members from diverse backgrounds.

What time zone do you work in?

We're flexible! Our current operations are US-based, but we welcome team members from any time zone. For roles requiring collaboration, we typically have one weekly sync call at a mutually convenient time. Most work is asynchronous, so you can work during your productive hours.

How quickly do you respond to applications?

We aim to respond to all applications within 5-7 business days. If we're interested in moving forward, we'll reach out to schedule a call. If it's not a fit right now, we'll let you know and keep your information for future opportunities.

Can freelance roles turn into full-time positions?

Absolutely! Many of our current contractors started with one-off projects. As Dial91 grows and we see strong performance, we're very open to converting freelance/contract roles into more permanent positions. We strongly prefer to promote from within.

What tools and software do you use?

We keep things simple: Google Workspace for collaboration, Slack for communication (when needed), Trello or Notion for project management. For writers, you'll work in Google Docs or directly in WordPress. We provide guidance and templates to make onboarding smooth.

Do you offer benefits for contract workers?

For contractors and freelancers, compensation is hourly or per-project. We don't currently offer traditional benefits (health insurance, 401k, etc.) for contract roles since most of our positions are part-time or project-based. However, we do offer learning budgets for courses/tools and performance bonuses tied to measurable outcomes.

What makes a great writing sample for Dial91?

The best samples are: (1) Long-form content (1,500+ words), (2) Explanatory or educational in nature, (3) Written for a general audience in conversational tone, (4) Well-researched with accurate information, (5) Properly structured with headers and scannable formatting. Bonus points if it's about tech, travel, or expat life!

Can I pitch my own article ideas?

Yes! We love when writers come to us with relevant topic ideas. Check our existing content first to avoid duplicates, then pitch away. Include your topic, angle, and why it would resonate with Indian expats. If it fits our content strategy, we'll green-light it.
